We are now offering telehealth services in order to provide high-quality healthcare that is not only affordable but also convenient. Our aim is to allow patients greater control over their health and data while maintaining all applicable security and privacy standards that are prescribed by law. These services will only be offered for acute injuries and illnesses and our providers will utilize their best judgment when rendering care.
What is telehealth?
Telehealth refers to the practice of medicine via patient-centered
live (
synchronus) video conferencing between a medical provider in one location and a patient in another location. Telehealth is not an audio-only telephone conversation, email, or fax. Licensure for the medical provider must be held in the state where the patient is being treated; therefore, this service is only offered to patients within the boundaries of Tennessee. By statute, medical providers are held to the same standard of care as an in-person encounter.
Privacy & Security
As in any other aspect of healthcare, protected health information, created, received, maintained, or transmitted as part of the telehealth encounter is subject to the HIPAA Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules. Privacy and security considerations are evaluated regularly in order to ensure that your information is protected.
Limitations
If the information transmitted by the telehealth communication technology is not sufficient quality or does not contain adequate information for a provider to form an opinion about the patient's presentation or condition, the provider will state such and request for an assessment and actual physical examination of the patient. In addition, if it appears this may be an emergent matter, the provider will refer the patient to the nearest emergency department.

We utilize Clocktree to offer telehealth services. Clocktree will work on any computer device with internet access and a camera, including smartphones or tablets. Please use the latest version of your browser for video appointments. All data is safe, secure and encrypted in accordance with HIPAA and HITECH regulations.
